German carrier Air Berlin has announced the launch of two new flights from Düsseldorf to the Chinese cities of Beijing and Shanghai.The nonstop flights form part of Air Berlin’s expansion plans for 2008 and will be targeted at passengers flying to China for the upcoming Olympic Games. After the Beijing event, Air Berlin expects demand from business travellers to continue, with the China flights easily accessable via Air Berlin connections from other German cities as well as Zurich and Vienna.
