first_img1 Simon Kjaer [left] in action for Denmark Marseille have reportedly joined Hull City in the race to sign highly-rated Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer in the summer window.The 28-year-old had been tipped to join the Premier League side at the end of the season but now, according to reports in Turkey, Marseille have begun talks with the centre back.It has even been claimed that sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has already tabled an offer of £8.5m for his services.The Turkish giants are reportedly willing to offload Kjaer in the summer if they can get the right price for him.Marseille boss Rudi Garcia is understood to be keen to wrap up the transfer, having worked with Kjaer during his time as manager of French side Lille.Hull’s interest in the defender has been well documented with suggestions the club have already set aside a substantial fee in order to force through the transfer.last_img read more
